For a long time after the Lord had taken away the doubt and fear in teaching His Word, He asked why I had the zeal to teach others, yet not to teach my own children. So, I tried to find a way to be able to gather my children and grandchildren together to start a Bible study with them. My first mistake was not reaching out to the Lord for guidance, thinking I could put it together on my own. The Lord allowed me to struggle with trying to do it my way. I could never get them together.

When I finally realized why I was failing and repented and left it in His hands, I waited for the Lord’s response. When the pandemic struck and our way of life changed dramatically, I thought it was going to be even harder now. This pandemic showed me, before my very eyes, that the Lord can use any situation on this earth to accomplish his will. It is true that God sometimes works in mysterious ways, in that he was giving me the answer to my prayers and the means in the technology he has provided to God’s people to continue to spread his gospel through Zoom and other platforms. When I asked my brother in Christ, Brother Sadrac, if I could use this platform to reach and teach my family, he responded, “By all means, brother.”

I now have the means to gather my family together, once a week since April and have a Bible study with them. It is profound how God Almighty has changed their attitudes, behavior, and desire to meet together and hear the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yes, the Lord does hear our prayers; He does provide the means to further His Kingdom, and He has also given me a deeper spiritual understanding of how He works in mysterious ways that in the end will bring Him praise, honor, and glory. If we don’t teach our children about God and to follow Christ, the world will teach them not to. Amen.
